What is technical illustration?
Technical illustration is a visual representation of objects emphasizing the qualities that are necessary to communicate the global structure and meaning, while suppressing or omitting others that do not add to the overall comprehensibility.

Line art illustration depicts objects by means of contour and internal lines and curves, utilizing stylistic devices like thick and thin lines, tapering lines, omission of lines to increase readability and to add a sense of depth and space. To further increase the expressive power of illustrations tone and color can be added to the line art.
